Day 3 October 29 Yangon ~ Bagan … we catch a short flight to Bagan to visit Myanmar’s ancient temples … This is the “Plain of Bagan.” …. most beautiful of all the temples, Ananda Temple … just sit and absorb the quiet tranquility …

Day 4 October 30 Bagan You can sleep in or rise before dawn … commanding view of the sunrise … an extra-ordinary sunrise … Nandamanya, a small temple with the best line drawings of the 13th century was found … flat flowing Ayeyarwaddy River to enjoy the riverside villages at sunset …

Day 5 October 31 Bagan ~ Mandalay Sunrise in Bagan … a short drive to the airport to catch our flight to Mandalay. …. a few “must do’s” when visiting …evening, we’ll visit Shwenandaw Monastery with its intricate … over 1000 very old beautiful teak posts … a dinner of local specialties …

Day 06 November 01 Mandalay ~ Myayzun From Mandalay we have a short excursion on the Ayeyarwaddy River to the ruins of King Bodawpaya’s Unfinished Pagoda … river boat ride to Myayzun with an opportunity to visit with villagers and fishermen … Myanmar protected Irrawaddy Dolphin …

Day 07 November 02 Myayzun ~ Mandalay … we will join the fishermen to experience their cooperative fishing with the dolphins. … bamboo stick on the side of canoe to attract the dolphins and let them know it’s “time to eat” A rare example of “seeing is believing.” …

Day 8 November 03 Mandalay ~ Inle … a short flight to Inle. Among the Shan Mountains there are minority cultures … around Inle Lake resides the most remarkable, the Inthar people …stilt villages … Floating gardens are created using rafts of hyacinth … Jumping Cat Monastery where the monks really do teach cats to jump …

Day 11 November 06 Inle ~ Yangon (The Yellow Robes Weaving Festival called Matho Thingan.) After our flight to Yangon … this afternoon will be really interesting, non-touristy, as we catch a ferry along with throngs of Burmese and cross the Yangon River … visit by rickshaw … an auspicious time for the offering of yellow robes to Buddhist monks and THE PLACE TO BE is Shwedagon Pagoda. … Buddha’s mother wove for him … monk’s garments … weaving competitions and then offering the robes … are you still awake? ha ha …

Day 12 November 07 Yangon Departure … transfer to the international airport for your departure flight from Yangon, and your continuing adventures in Asia or return back home.
